Instant noodles are a comfort food for me. I'm always looking for ways to elevate the dish, whether that's adding a soft boiled egg or a sprinkle of chilli flakes. On days where my energy levels are running low, this is one of my go to's! I'll throw in some store bought frozen prawn tempura into the air fryer and boil an egg. If I have any corn or broccoli that will also get added. My favourite thing about instant noddles is that you can jazz it up however you like with whatever you like!
Your not so basic Instant Noodles
Serves 1
Ingredients
1 packet of instant noodles of your choice
1 egg
3 frozen prawn tempuras
1 tsp of vegetable stock powder (I use vegeta)
1 tsp chilli flakes
50g of sweetcorn
Sesame seeds to sprinkle
Method
Cook instant noodles according to the packet and ensure to add the chilli flakes and vegetable stock powder when adding the original seasoning that comes with the noodle packet.
Boil the egg for 7 minutes then remove and add to ice bath to stop further cooking.
Place the prawn tempura in the air fryer and cook for 10-12 minutes at 190°C.
After the noodles have finished cooking mix in sweetcorn.
Peel the boiled egg, cut in half and place on top of noodles.
Add the cooked prawn tempura on the side of the noodles (be careful not to place the tempura too far down so it doesn't turn soggy!)
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and enjoy.
